Paper Statements

I always kept my Nationwide account set to paper statements for ID purposes, however as I've gone for the 5% on FlexDirect, I won't get paper statements for the moment.

This leaves me with Halifax or Tesco Bank to get paper statements from. I'm leaning towards Halifax as it's a high street bank, however I just wanted to check that it won't exclude me from getting the £5 reward. I've looked back over the Ts and Cs but didn't see anything that stated either way. Does anyone have Halifax Reward paper statements and know for certain?

Thanks

    Look harder:
3.1. We will provide statements on paper. If your account is
accessible by Online Banking, you can choose to receive
    statements electronically instead.

I have a Halifax reward account, I get paper statements and £5 every month.

Annoyingly they send a statement every month, next time I'm online, I'll have to remember to opt out of paper statements

This brings another important question - why for ID purposes you still have to produce paper statements? It's the 21st century ... ! Why companies can't verify you with an online statement instead?
For instance with Bet365 when you register for an account - they CAN verify you with a scan/photo of your Passport/DL and an ONLINE statement from your bank/utility!

Online statements can be, and are being, forged. Whilst the same could be said for paper ones, it is significantly more difficult to do.

I do hope banks won't be taking their lead from gambling firms such as B365 (who are, as an aside, famous for not paying people their money, despite people having gone through the B365 verification process).
