in Credit cards
I recently made an online purchase using my credit card, value of £160. The company sent the wrong item so I have refused it and requested for the item to be collected and a refund made back to my credit card. I have received no refund and I still have the item, the company will not reply to any of my letters or emails.
Am I still liable to pay for this item or is there some kind of protection for this type of thing?

In addition to above does the company have a phone number ? normally direct contact gets results. If you don't have a a number posting some details of what you know (web site you ordered from, email address and address you have sent letters to, could result in further detail being obtainedCall the Credit card company and ask them to "dispute" the transaction in question.0 -

I have just done this but it seems a bit pointless? I was told that I still had to pay for the disputed item, they would investigate the dispute and would refund back when the investigation is completed.0 -
Then going by your original post the credit card company will find in you favour be patient and you'll get the refund.0
