How to dispute Stansted Airport Express Set Down Parking Charge

Hi All,
Title says it all. I went to pick up my GF from Stansted airport and thought I would use the closest pickup parking. I saw the £2.50 charge for the first 10 minutes sign, and proceeded, however what I didn't see, because it is nowhere to be seen (I circled back to make sure), is the £2.50 / minute charge after the original 10 minutes...
It ended costing us over £55!!! is there any way to dispute this?
Thank you for your help.

yes , who did you pay £55 too?
why did you pay it?
was it asked for legitimately , (and as above) by who?
how did they get your info?
why did the DVLA give your info?
however if you have now paid , there is very little chance of getting it back without starting a CC claim , and travel cost to their court of choice could cost you more than £55Save a Rachael

Have you paid? Little prospect once you've parted with your cash. Who charged you this, and how did they do it?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I have looked on their website, and their charges seem to be perfectly clear, have they accounted for v.a.t.?

There are actually signs along the express set down giving the charges. Can blame no-one but yourself for that one. You spent over 30 mins in an EXPRESS set down/pick up area?
For Stansted, the common sense thing is to have a quiet coffee at the Birchhanger services and wait for a phone call. it is then only a 5-10 min drive to the express setdown for a quick pickup at minimum cost.0 -

On their website, yes but I could not see any board with the prices apart from the sign that said £2.50 for the first 10 minutes. I landed in Luton, took my car and drove to Stansted to pick my GF, I am afraid I did not have time to check the website0 -

As mentioned the only one I could see was the one about the £2.50 for the first 10 minutes...
Yes spent 30 minutes her plane was delayed (Ryanair, 4 hours!) unfortunately and I didn't think to check the additional parking charges... I just wondered if there was any way to dispute it as there is no clear sign (in my opinion) of how much it costs once the 10 minutes are up.0 -
Think you need to obtain pics of the signs before going any further. Could prove or disprove your claim.0

CM , seems that this is a barrier controlled car park , pay on exit , with the first 10 mins for £2.50 then £2.50 per min afterwards , no pay no exit.
