I guess this proves once and for all what a sad geek I am... but I've just bought an IR100 for £50 and it's the dog's nuts. Access to over 6000 radio stations all over the world, plus you can add any that aren't listed to your favourites. You can also use the "listen again" feature where it's available, and add podcasts to your favourites. If that's not enough then you can listen to your own personal MP3 collection as long as they're shared from your home PC, media server, or NAS drive.
Unfortunately, the best deal for one of these involves crossing the threshold of a DSG store which I normally avoid like the plague. Can't believe nobody else can offer better value online, since DSG are not normally known for competitive pricing.
Anyway, here's the link to it:

It uses a "Reciva" chipset, so you can read all about its capabilities, and discuss it here:
http://www.reciva.com
p.s. you'll need to have wireless broadband to use this.
p.p.s No, I don't work for those rip-off merchants.

Of course, I may just be talking b****cks!

When pricing gets this low it usually means the next, improved version is about to arrive! But it is the sort of thing expats would find great for listening to Radio 4 abroad.0
