Balance transfer question..

This may sound stupid but I'm new to all things credit card related.
If I have a aqua card with a balance on if I transfer this to a mbna balance transfer card am I still able to use my aqua card?

    Yes.

    It would be sensible to use the (now empty) aqua card for your purchases and pay off in full each month, whilst you pay down the MBNA debt.

    If you spend on the MBNA, you will be charged interest on your purchases, unless you clear the full amount each month - including the BT'd amount.
  • When I was talking to them on the phone he said 0% till march 2018 and apr on purchases 18.9% and min payment would be £25
    Does that mean if I don't spend on mbna I can pay the £25 or more till the balance is clear without interest?

    If the card is 0% until March 2018 then yes you can just make the minimum payment each month and not pay any interest.

    Make sure you set up a DD to pay the minimum amount each month to avoid any accidental missed payments. and be in a position to pay off the balance in March 2018.

    Hopefully you will be able to balance transfer it again, but it's dangerous to assume that will always be the case.
