My epson 680 has developed an annoying problem.A text document will print perfectly, but anything with colour is leaving 4 red pinstripes horizontally all the way through it.There are 2 fine ones above and below two slightly thicker ones in a space of approx 2mm with 5mm gaps between.I have put new cartridges in,cleaned the heads and nozzles but this does not cure it.Any ideas please.....

Sounds to me like the print heads a clogged too badly for the head clean option to fix it. You could just keep running head clean till there is no more ink in the cartridge which is a bit of a waste and might not even work or you could get an electricians spray on cleaning solvent and spray the heads. It worked on my dads printer BUT according to epson cleaning solvents could dissolve the print heads so its probably only to be used as a last resort.0
