Mbna will not cover full balance transfer

I currently have 2 credit cards, one with a balance of £3400 with Aqua and the other £2200 with Capital One

I have just done the eligibility checker and successfully been accepted for an MBNA credit card to transfer to a 0% deal, but they have only accepted me with a £3000 credit limit

The eligibility checker said I had a 9.5/10 chance of being accepted for this card and a fluid card. The scores for the other cards are 8 & lower. My question is, should I also apply for a fluid card now to see if I can transfer the remaining amount of my debt to a 0% walk or are fluid part of MBNA & I'm likely to be rejected? The interest in Aqua & Capital one are 30something% & I'm finding it hard to get the balances down

Many thanks for any advice?!

Fluid is issued by MBNA, so you would be better off trying elsewhere.

You *could* try for the Fluid credit card before the hard search (and account opening) appear on your credit file(s).

However as they are operated by MBNA you may hit a hurdle (I'm not best placed to offer advice here, an MSE Stalwart will be able to offer better information).

Failing that you could transfer 95% of your limit to the MBNA card (repaying the minimum) and focus on repaying the remainder of the Aqua balance and Capital One card.

Once you've settled your Aqua credit card you could close the account (and freeing up £3,400 of your Available Credit), wait for your credit reports to update and try for a Balance Transfer card in terms of your Capital One account?

Not sure how much you are repaying to the cards' each month, will you have repaid your debt before the promotional period expires?
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

Transferring £3k to the MBNA card will save you around £75 per month if the interest rate is the standard 34.9% that's a good start! Owing such a large amount on subprime cards is crippling in interest charges hope you can pay these down quickly and save yourself ££££s
