Injecting your own damp proof course

Redoing the kitchen we have found a patch of damp 1m x1m near our back door and under a window we had replaced last year.

The injected damp course has not failed elsewhere and we suspect that it is due to the window sill not over lapping the exterior wall with a drip strip, as it did before the window replacement. Whilst we sort that out though for the sake of 20 quid I would like to do a damp proofing injection myself for a couple of metres. Belt and braces since we have access to this area at the moment. Can anyone recommend a product and site giving information on how to do this yourself.
Many thanks

Damp proof courses are designed to stop water rising up from the ground, through the bricks acting as capillaries.

You've just told us that the damp has been caused by an insufficient window cill - ie water pouring down the walls. A damp proof course will do nothing to help it at all! A DPC is not going to act like a forcefield, protecting the house from all directions.

Save yourself £20. Replace the window cill and let the wall dry out. Leave injecting a DPC alone, this has nothing to do with it. The house is most likely to already has adequate protection and I've not seen a genuine case of rising damp. There has always been a specific cause and a solution.

I've never done it, but it looks as if it's an easier enough job.
You can get all the stuff you need from one of those tool hire places.

I agree with Doozergirl, why do a chemical injection if you know the cause of the problem (and are rectifying it) ?

Sounds like the door and window might need re-sealing as well as having a windows sill installed.
