Sorry! Sadly I've barely posted in those 8 years... I didn't think an additional thread was worth everyone's time, considering the case is identical other than the 'offence' being 3 days apart. Somewhat in 'fight' mode having just got the PCN today.

I guess my own personal circumstances aren't actually necessary, other than the desire to confirm the best method of attack under the circumstances, and hoping the answer would help Seepyj too?

That said, there is no magic wand.

Do read and absorb the newbies stickies - no mitigation, strong prompt landowner/landholder/retailer approach etc.etc. It is the complete armoury.

One point I would appreciate guidance on. Having spoken to Ben Allen at JLL at the start of the week and referenced the conversation earlier, are you saying the approach should be two pronged. Standard soft appeal to HV and hard letter to JLL? Sorry just finished a sequence of night shifts so brain just getting back into gear.

Ref the soft appeal, I did think Dear Sirs was very 1980's but copied it from the the newbie section.

I've amended the soft appeal now and edited the final para as per The Deep's guidance.

I'm being dragged to the shops today so it will be sent registered post (rather than a slack 2nd class as per HV) tomorrow.

zebedee70, with the exception that the family member had gone to Matalan first so killed two birds with one stone. If you get chance to go back to the car park, park by the trolley station in front of Matalan and have a look to see how poor the signage is, also check out the misleading 'no overnight' parking, as this is the only lit signs. The HV sign is on the perimeter by the access road unlit!!!

Don't send it registered post - first class with a free certificate of posting from the post office counter.

They can/will refuse to sign for registered (signed for) post.

Update: Jan 11th 2016.
Found an email today in my junk that was received on Friday from Matalan customer services, the retailer has accepted my argument that the site signage is poor and have taken it on themselves to cancel the PCN with Highview. Great news, that got better on returning home from work to find a letter waiting for me from HV confirming the cancellation.

Thank you so much to all the regulars on here who have got behind this cause and help out normal folk on a daily basis to beat these thieves. In particular, thank you to ampersand for your multiple detailed posts and support.

Is it wrong that I feel a little deflated that I don't get to fight Highview?

I sent a detailed complaint to the site management company last week and they promise that they are investigating the issue and will report back, I'll let you know when they do.

To sign off, thank you for all the guidance and the information on the forum that spurred me on to rattle every tree prior to an initial challenge and gave me a win before the first hurdle. Drinks on me Saturday evening at my local!

If you really want to fight HV (and inflict far greater damage than just winning your own case) why not chip in on the forum when others in the future are caught in their spider's web. Recount your experience and how you got your ticket cancelled. Much better coming from someone with real and recent experience.

I've beaten ParkingEye, but have never had the pleasure of stuffing HV as you have; we need as many experienced hands on board as possible to defeat this systematic abuse, harassment and extortion of millions of innocent and vulnerable motorists.
