Ideas for dad's 60th Present

Hello all and happy new year!!
It's my dad's 60th birthday this year and I would like to get him something special but do not have a clue what so wondered if anyone had an idea.
Things he likes:
Whiskey
Scotland
Golf *doesn't play a lot*
Horseracing
Caravanning
His dogs
I don't have a lot of disposable income, I can save but definitely wouldn't be able to go above £100. I would like the present to be something abit special rather than useful. He doesn't want a fuss but I would like to give a good gift this year. I don't buy normally.
Thank you in advance

Is your Dad single or does he have a partner? There are lots of "experience" days, weekends etc that are a nice treat and come in under £100, but some wouldn't be much fun on your own.0

He is married, I think if I got him an experience day it would go to waste but thank you for the suggestion

Are there any siblings who can pitch in with you for a larger gift? My siblings and I all pitched in towards an iPad for my Dad's 70th 5 years ago, but there are 5 of us, so it's bit easier in that respect to get the required money together.
Otherwise, we recently picthed in together to get my parents a weekend away in a lighthouse they've always wanted to stay in. That came in at under £150 altogether, so I'm sure you could get other weekends away for under £100.
Horseracing - often do days out. I went to one for my hen do, was a sit down meal in a nice room with big screens so you could see the races without having to go outside (if you didn't want to). And ended with a Michael Jackson tribute at the end of the day. Was great fun. http://www.lingfieldpark.co.uk/fixtures/hooves-grooves-music-racenight-4/ They might have other, similar things, at different race venues.
Hope that helps.

Not too expensive and you can write a nice personal message inside. And then they get to spend some time reliving memoriesSchool is important, but Rugby is importanter.0 -
I bought my dad a set of Whisky Miniatures online from some kind of Whisky club. They offered a variety of sets, such as areas of Scotland - ie. groups of local distilleries or by style of whisky. I can't remember if they come with a nice glass or not but the websites also tend to sell glasses, too.
My Dad likes a particular brand of whisky and I found a set of vintage miniatures.
They will also sell single bottles - perhaps there's a special one on sale for £100.
It's a shame your budget wasn't higher, otherwise you could have funded a trip to a nice place in Scotland (preferably together) with a hotel stay and organised a distillery tour. You might be able to squeeze in a cheap flight and hotel for that budget - the distillery tour will either be free or cheap.0 -
Hi, if he likes horse racing, why not treat him to a day at the races?. You can get some good deals, which include a meal, a drink and a free bet for less than £100. Extra bets and drinks he can then pay for, but you would of provided the 'day out'. Not sure where you live but all tracks normally provide this 'race day experience'.Plan: [STRIKE]Finish off paying the remainder of my debts[/STRIKE].
[STRIKE]Save up for that rainy day[/STRIKE].
Start enjoying a stress debt free life.....now enjoying. thanks to all on MSE0
