    Hire a car
Use Autoreisen or Pluscar (if you don't mind older cars)
Cheap prices and no silly full to empty fuel policies or onerous CDW conditions or fees etc.

Lots to see and do whilst touring around, we just drive about and stop somewhere we like the look of for lunch.
A lot of people go to Loro Parque for the day, it not my idea of entertainment though, there's been a lot of publicity regarding the welfare of their sea mammals, so do some research if it concerns you.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

    Take a trip up Teide

Walk along the seafront from Cristianos to PDLA, and back again, stopping for refreshments and lunch along the way

Check out Ristorante los Abrigos (in Los Abrigos) and Restaurante Rincon del Marinero (in Cristianos) for some excellent fish - Dorada is recommended

Visit the beach at La Tejita, sunbathe and swim in the sea - clothing optional

We enjoyed the water park Siam park, although we weren't very impressed by Siam Mall - We thought there would be a lot more shops. We went whale watching - That was fun. We did visit Loro Parque but the weather was awful so we didn't enjoy that much.
