Just sent this on to my sister - she could do with a laugh.
Thanks to advice from this site, I always read feedback first and also check elsewhere for cheaper items.

Am I being dense? What exactly is the scam? Are they fake vouchers? Gone past the date? What??????0

The listing in question is not a scam. It is a joke/important message about how ebay allows people to list seemingly limitless quantities of fake items.
I suppose the user is hoping that ebay will take note and sort it out, but at the very least, create awareness regarding the situation.0 -
Thanks to the person listing and for Martin for giving it a personal mention too. These scams go on every day. I know of someone who bought a laptop and had it sent recorded delivery. It was signed for at both ends. EVerything was perfect, until the box was opened and it contained a couple of books. The box had nothing else in it. On cantacting the seller, he insited that the laptop was in there when he packed it. The buyer got nothing.
The seller was struck ff ebay when the same thing happened again. No help to the buyers tho.
These scammers are out there, hundreds, yes hundreds are done every day and they arent stupid people. Often people with not too much money, thats why they want the deal in the first place. Im glad Martin and the poster have highlighted this as its more common than people realise and yet little is done as ebay dont lose out, in fact, they get the listing fees so they even prosper out of these scams.
One day somethin will be done, tho at the mo, thousands is bein lost by good, honest people, every hour, of every day.0 -
What do you know? They BOTH left each other positive feedbacks!!!
"10/10 Excellent eBayer"
"Excellent eBayer"
Another clear proof you cannot just trust feedbacks!0 -

I sent off an item AFTER I had been told that I had recieved funds through PAYPAL (into my account).
Paypal then told me that the funds had been refused (payment not recieved from buyer (possibly stolen credit card)).
The buyer then claimed they never recieved the items.
PAYPAL would not refund me the money because items were not sent recorded delivery.
SO... I lost the item, and payed for it to be stolen!!!
