    Too tired apparently to read the OP's posts; or those from anyone else. We don't even know if the OP owns or rents the property.


    We do know however from the OP's initial post that the property has GAS CH which makes your suggestion to cut off gas, to save the gas standing charge, puzzling!

    Boiler insurance at £12-20 per month? Entirely optional, and generally not economic.

    BG was wanting over £22 a month a year ago and no one else would touch it.
