Payment made on same day as statement produced

in Credit cards
Hi all just wondering if there is anything I can do? I balance transferred to a fluidity card from vanquis in September & set up s/o for monthly payments. In November s/o payment was made on 16th the same day as statement produced so payment was allocated to the previous month. To further compound I was on holiday until 11th of December so didn't realise until 13th December that the payment had gone to previous month.
I immediately made a payment & contacted them on the 14th. The S/O was duly changed to the 18th of the month, late fee refunded & 0% interest put back on. Will a late marker be put on my credit files? The customer service officer seemed to think it would as I was over a week late in making the payment even though I explained I was out of the country. Any advice as to what I should do?

Thanks for that, however they have advised that a DD will only take minimum amount. The S/O is fine now as date is after statement is produced.l Was really requesting advice on the late payment marker which may be added to my credit file.0

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on when they report. But probably. Check your files to be sure.
But standing orders are dangerous, as your due date will move around. A DD would be better and then you can top up with a manual payment, which I assume you're already needing to do with the standing order.0 -
The payment was late so I don't think there is anything you can do to prevent a missed payment entry being put on your credit file if that is what the credit card company decided to do. .
However the fact that you contacted the credit card company as soon as you became aware of the problem and they have accepted your explanation and your late payment fee has already been refunded suggests to me it is 'possible' they may not add a 'missed payment'.
As others have suggested why not just pay the full balance by direct debit and avoid any possibility of this happening again?0 -
Because the OP has balance transferred to a 0% card, presumably since they had a balance they couldn't afford to pay in "full".Superscrooge wrote: »As others have suggested why not just pay the full balance by direct debit and avoid any possibility of this happening again?0
