Hi i'm looking to get some data of my pc (mainly word documents), although not majorly important it would be useful to have them.
The old pc's non responsive (keyboard and mouse have died & all inputs)
Would it be possible to take the old hard drive and plug it to one of these:
http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=48P4&SearchType=1&SearchTerms=hard+drive+caddy&PageMode=3&SearchKey=All&SearchMode=All&NavigationKey=0
Then plug this caddy into my new pc then simply 'copy across' & then use it in the future to 'back up' my current pc?
thanks. x x x

Yes. Just make sure that the caddy you buy is compatible with your drive in terms of SATA/PATA0
