Pc help

Can anyone help me please. About 2 weeks ago my home pc which is running windows xp started switching itself on at 12.25 every night and I don't know why. Have I put a timer on by mistake? I don't know what to try so pleeesae help

    Are you sure you are shutting down your PC and not just putting it into sleep or hibernation? Open the Power Options control panel and under the Advanced tab check the settings.

    Go into the bios and ensure that 'Wake On LAN' is disabled. Also disable any options which enable you to start the PC by hitting a keyboard or mouse key.
