I know nothing about W10, but surely you have to post more details on why you can't and what happens.
And why do you want to do this?0 -
you just cant do it there is no option as there use to be before to save anything even if i receive an email and would like to save a picture of my Grandson from it it doesnt happen~We are all going to hell and guess who Is driving the bus~*Norn Iron club Member 294* (Hi, we’ve had to remove part of your signature. under WHAT programme are you unable to save a file , that you were able to with an earlier version of win.
if its a picture in an email for example , what prog are you viewing the pic with?Save a Rachael

'Desktop' is just a folder where you can save different files and shortcuts.Cherryscone wrote: »you just cant do it there is no option as there use to be before to save anything even if i receive an email and would like to save a picture of my Grandson from it it doesnt happen
What you really need/want is to use the picture as the desktop background, not to "save it to desktop".0 -
the reason for asking what type of file and the prog used for opening it , win 10 uses a new proggy as default to open JPGs etc , there is NOT a option to save (as required) and Microsoft have disabled the earlier photo viewer , this can be restored by running winearo tweakerSave a Rachael

Is Right Click >> Personalise not available anymore?0
-
right click /personalise IS there on a WIN 10 setup , I have no idea if its there or not on a win7/8 hybrid upgrade.
at this point we are both speculating on the OPs question , you think he wants to change his background screen , I think he wants to save a Photo or as file that he has received by email
until the OP explains more we are going around in circlesSave a Rachael
