2010 missed payments

Hi,
I have multiple defaults dropping off my credit file over the next few months :T
However, the two accounts that didn't default will still be there and they contain many missed payments. These are from 2010.
Will these missed payments from 2010 have much of an impact on securing a mortgage with high street banks & building societies or is it likely as they are so old, to be overlooked?
Since 2010, my finances have been managed well with no missed payments, no debt etc...
Thanks
EDIT: I'll also have 30-40% deposit for the mortgage if that makes any difference.

Missed payments wont be overlooked, they maybe outside the period where it causes your lender to refuse or offer a higher rate though.
I would wait until your credit file is clear for the best rates.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

It'll come down to the finer detail, but there would likely be high street lenders that would consider a case of this nature.I am a Mortgage BrokerYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Broker, so you need to take my word for it.

Surely these will clear this year. I would wait. I had 2 late payments from 4 years ago and this still seemed to prevent me getting the best rates!0

Late payments are a little different. Your payment history will usually reflect the last three years payments on your account (or up to that if you have had the account for less time). Once an account is closed the last three years payment history will remain visible for six years - so effectively a late payment could be there in theory for up to nine years. However in practice I doubt late payments from that long ago will matter much.0

Thank you all.
I'm glad the general response it that it shouldn't hinder me too much.
