UKPC charge for leaving site

None instantly spring to mind, but if you're not aware of this case - VCS -v- Ibbotson - here is one that was spectacularly won by the motorist (or spectacularly lost by the PPC!). This has found a permanent place in the history of private parking.Underwriter86 wrote: »Exactly! Short of having extensive CCTV evidence I can't see that they could ever provide evidence to prove this. And looking at the signage in this case, the leaving the site point is clearly thrown in the mix as an extra aside for them to try it on.
Are there any examples of leaving the site appeals being lost?

The phrase 'bring your toothbrush' took on a whole new meaning after this. A 'must read' for anyone with a 'leaving the site' charge. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As leaving site is not a parking matter, does their contract even suggest they could send an invoice for this I wonder.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

They can send an invoice for walking on the cracks in pavements, it doesn't mean that it is valid. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

I know, but you don't see tickets for cracks in the pavement. I was just trying to see if we could remove one more way of scamming those that just pay. Having been done for fiddling tickets it would be nice to shaft them again.
Those that come here are helped to get these chucked out but 90% of victims don't come on here or pepipoo.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
