Direct Debit Question Please

Hi, linked to another thread, I have just opened sole Club Lloyds accounts for my partner and me. We have some direct debits we can allocate to these accounts but some of them are for bills in my partners name only which have always been paid from one of our joint accounts.
Can anyone please tell me if is possible for the direct debit to go from an account in my sole name or will this be questioned, challenged or rejected by the recipient?

Have you considered using a couple of joint savings account for the DDs?
Doing so would enable you to keep the Lloyds accounts 'clean' of DD 'clutter' and maxed out all the time. If you fill to max you can simply set one DD to £7 and the other to £6. Set them for the 3rd of the month, along with cross-funding £1.5K SOs, and the accounts will manage themselves.0 -

Hi YorkshireBoy, thanks for this suggestion. I hadn't considered it as an option; I was going to move the value of the direct debits to each account from our current account. I had intended moving the £1.5k across the two via SOs though.
Apologies for my ignorance but how would I arrange for these direct debits to be set up please? All existing ones are payments for goods or services requested by the providers.0 -
