Parcel Posted in Error.....Can I get it back?

Apologies if this isn't in the right place but I couldn't think where else to ask.
Parcel Force are currently shut for the holidays.
I posted a parcel at my local P.O. on New Year's Eve. It was after the deadline and I was told that it probably wouldn't go until after the holiday. The tracking number comes up unfound on Parcel Force web site so I'm assuming it's still in the PO (or maybe the local Sorting office?).
I've now regretted posting it and want it back. Do you think there's any chance of retrieving it when the PO opens? I have the proof of posting.
UPDATE:
I didn't bother camping outside the PO to beg for my parcel when it opened, nor did I phone them. I decided to let it go and put up with our blender for now. However, according to the parcel tracker on Parcel Force's web site the parcel wasn't collected from my PO until the 5th Jan. In Scotland the 2nd January is also a holiday and our PO didn't re-open until the 5th.
Now I've jumped out of the frying pan into the fire and bought a Nutriblitzer - same price but 700 watt motor instead of 600w.

Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.

You can ring and ask but it's unlikely. Mail does move on as Saturday, which was not a holiday, and in my experience mail moves on a Sunday too. It could be anywhere.0

New Year's Eve was Thursday. The holiday was Friday. After the holiday was yesterday, Saturday. I bet it's long gone.
In any case, no. Once you've handed it over to the PO that's your lot...0 -
If it is definitely going via Parceforce, then it should have been segregated at the post office ready for one of their drivers to collect. It might still be at the post office and they might give it back to you... But I suspect Post Office rules will prevent them from returning the package, and if it was collected on Saturday (which was a normal working day), it will be somewhere in the system.
If the package has gone to the local sorting office, you can forget any idea about retrieving it - They will not want to go sifting through thousands of packages even if they were allowed to.Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -

Maybe it's a Road Trip type tape.0 -

A puppy that my partner got me for christmas. It wasn't the colour I wanted, but I wish I'd kept it now.
Only kidding......No puppies were harmed in the making of this post.
The truth is v. boring, I'm afraid. I bought a Nutribullet from Ideal World and was persuaded to send it back by tight-fisted partner who opined that our bog-standard blender would do the same job for nowt. I made the silly mistake of not checking first and only found out after posting that our blender isn't up to the task.Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Is the task to blend a puppy to get the colour that you wanted?

Don't regret sending it back, they cost a bloody fortune, the hype around them was very misleading.
Just buy a heavier duty blender. I make smoothies in my bog standard one.
They are a bit like a one hit wonder, there will be hundreds being dragged out of the back of cupboards in summer in readiness for the car boot sales.
A bit like the foot spa's. The most Ive seen of them at a medium sized sale is15 on one Sunday afternoon.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
