Fitting new carpet around furniture in crowded bedroom

Hi there in my daughters bedroom is a heavy MDF IKEA bed with drawers underneath and a treble MDF wardrobe in a smallish room, along with a 5 drawer chest of drawers and bedside cabinet. Her cream carpet is disgusting and needs replacing.
Would a carpetfitter be prepared to fit new carpet around the bed and wardrobe (and possibly around the chest of drawers) do you think? We would use an offcut. I was thinking of having a go myself but probably not a good idea!

It would be impossible to fit a carpet properly in a room with furniture.
Fitters don't like moving furniture either. They may help with the bodies of some items if you ask before you book them.
Ikea furniture is easy to dismantle and put back together. Just do it carefully.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I had this problem and I tried to move the wardrobe - I couldn't .Now the doors are lopsided and won't shut despite hours of fiddling. My daughter left it in a state when she moved out (funny how her house is spotless now ) I removed the old carpet scrubbed the floorboards, painted them white and bought some lovely purple rugs and it looks really nice and the thick rugs either side of the bed and a runner stop the noise on the floorboards. I have done my bedroom the same but pink floorboards and white carpets.0

Be easier to remove the drawers out of the bed (move the bed if you can), the same with the drawers from the chest, empty the wardrobe so thats left is the empty wardrobe, chest and bedside cabinet.0

A fitter can fit round anything, the issue is the cost.
You are looking at uplift and disposal of previous carpet (say £3psqm) (if you can't move a bed and wardrobe I feel it unlikely that you would be able/comfortable to cut the old carpet out around the furniture)
Then a substantial amount of carpet gripper (rip off price of about £3 /stick, but they won't fit yours!)
Then extra fitting cost as a "complex area" so fitting cost of say £4/sqm
All fitting costs are always assessed on the grid area of carpet supplied, not the net area of a room.
It will in fact turn out substantially cheaper for you to say to the fitter/carpet company "I've got 3 items of furniture in the room that I am not able to move, how much for the fitters to do it, and uplift the carpet?"
That will come out at between £50 and £100
For a typical bedroom 12-16sqm (empty) fitters will be being paid £20-£40 for the whole job, and will be doing on average 100sqm per day
So a small bedroom with a couple of "furniture removal" and "uplift" charges is actually quite attractive for them!Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0 -
Would you consider carpet tiles?0

I've recently had a quote for a fitted new carpet in a (large) bedroom, which contains a heavy iron double bed, two wardrobes, chest of drawers and lots of junk.
I asked if that was a problem and he said that the fitters were quite used to moving furniture, they do it all the time, and I just need to move the small items of junk.0
