Amazon returns info

Hello,
I just got a 30 inch TV from Amazon and have noticed it has a dead pixel (I have ocd). I emailed amazon hoping to maybe get a voucher or something and the reply was to say they are sending me a replacement!
Now my worry is that when I send this one back if they don't deem it faulty or can't see the fault can they charge me for the replacement? There was not a discussion about anything like this. How do they work in regards to replacements?

If they don't deem it faulty or can't see it you probably won't get a replacement.0

No the situation is that they have already dispatched a replacement to me and I have to send the old one back to them. What happens when they get the old one back?0

Probably nothing to worry about. They've accepted the fault exists and Amazon will simply send it back to the manufacturer.0

Yep this - it may be tested and if deemed acceptable (most manufacturers have an allowable dead pixel policy) then it will probably end up with on warehouse or back with the manufacturer to deal with.0 -
Just make sure you get it back promptly and follow any return requirements Amazon have. Also make sure you retain proof of collection or of courier drop off for some time in case it never reaches their warehouse. I returned a kindle a while ago, dropped it off using their label and after 4 weeks they asked me where it was- they couldn't find it but as I had tracking showing it was dropped off at their courier with their label it was fine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
