Are you all ready for your blind date?! Good on you, you deserve to have some fun. I find if my nose is sore like that have a nice hot shower before bed, try and decongest as much as possible then pop some vaseline all round the sore bit (a lot of it) then in the morning you wake up and it's way less sore. Hope you're feeling better now!
Living with my parents isn't so bad! I've not really been home much, lots of driving back and forth to Norwich where my friends live and coming home late at night. Buckling down on their business accounts today because I'm doing them as a way of 'paying my way' until I'm hired
Still enjoying your new job?xxx
Hey Sauce! How are you doing?!
I'm so nervous about my date! I keep thinking:
What if I get stood up?
What if he thinks I don't look like my picture?
What if he doesn't?
What if there are awkward silences?
What if we have absolutely nothing in common?!
Aahhhh lol! BUT, plus side is I'm meeting a couple of friends a few hours after the date so even if it's terrible, I can buy a bottle of wine, wait for them to arrive and have a chuckle.
It's the fear of the unknown I guess!
Glad you're enjoying things though! How have you found the transition?
I'm loving my new job thank you my dear! Payday next week (and I have a 4-day week!) It can't come soon enough!

Hello fellow money-savers!
Another pay-day, another update!
I'm waiting until the 1st February for my interest to be applied to my accounts before I decide how much I want (and can!) put into my house deposit and ISA account.
I've transferred my 'car' money into my separate account, bringing it to £230.00 (I plan to get it to £600.00 by October so that I can pay off my insurance annually).
I did my food shop this morning (I've booked the day off as holiday) and I was £1.77 under budget, which is nice! I brought the 'Lean in 15' cookbook by Joe Wicks (a.k.a The Body Coach), with the aim of losing weight. I was worried the shop would be expensive, but actully, it didn't differ much from that of my monthly shop, so bonus! :T
The one downside of this month is I have had to cancel all social events/days & nights out as I my keys were stolen from my bag last weekend and I had to get all the locks changed on my flat. Obviously, I had to fork out for that and not my landlady and it cost a FORTUNE.
So bye-bye social life for 30 days. I do have a couple of girlfriends coming over next weekend so that will keep me sane (I hope!) :rotfl:
I still have my eyes open for a place to buy, but bloody hell, it is depressing out there! Trying not to let it get me down! I found a GORGEOUS 2 bed freehold house a couple of nights ago for £230k but the agent then told me it's actually £339k, they listed it at the wrong price
The SE is so expensive! If I didn't have the job of my dreams here and my family and friends, I'd up and move in a second.

Oh that's so rotten about your keys, do you have home insurance? Sometimes they have handbag cover, know you've probably already checked if so but worth a reminder just in case!
Still heading on your date or have you cancelled that too? Came here just to wish you luck, thinking of you! xxxxThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
