Leaking on Blanco kitchen tap

Hi all
After many weeks of our kitchen tap leaking i have decided i need to address this sooner rather than later but am a bit reluncant as i dont want to make the issue worse than it is.
We have a kitchen tap from the manufacturer blanco which has seperate controls for hot and cold. I believe the correct term maybe twin lever tap?
It is a leaking but I am unable to understand whether its the cold or hot section is affected. From doing some research on these taps i understand its not just a washer that I can replace but it is a whole valve unit.
My question is could i myself replace the valve or is it a job for a plumber? Looking online it seems the replacement part looks similar to this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/BLANCO-replacement-ceramic-quarter-cartridge/dp/B00NCYPCFE
I need to isolate the supply so i can unscrew the tap to find out exactly the valve which is installed, it it just turning of the stop tap which should be sufficient? We have a gas central heating system with a combi boiler, do i need to do anything with that?
When a tap has the valve setup and no a washer, do i need to buy as a pair or can i buy seperatly. The hot lever turns clockwise but the cold lever turns anti clockwise.
Any advice on this would be most appreciated.
Thank you.

Look under the worktop. There may be separate isolation valves for the hot and cold supply. This would be good practice on a kitchen install. You can buy the cartridges separately - just make sure you get the correct one!0

The cold tap if in the kitchen should be fed by mains water pressure, therefore just turn off your stopcock or, if it is easily accessible, your outside mains tap at your water meter. Open the kitchen tap to make sure all water flow has stopped then close tap. If drip continues, it is the hot that is leaking. As posted above, make sure you get the correct replacement cartridge. They are usually marked with size, type of connection for lever/handle and either clockwise to close or anti-clockwise to close.
This website contains invaluable information.

It sounds like a worn cartridge. Buy new ones from Blanco. Your tap if installed properly should have isolators on the hot and cold. You will find little grub screws. Undo these, slide the old cartridge out and slip the new one in. It shouldnt take more than a few minutes. Try and see if there is any debris in the line that has caused the disc to wear out.
