Natwest PIN locked

first78

I went shopping at Tesco yesterday, when I tried to pay with my Natwest debit card the reader said PIN locked.
I went to the bank today and was shown how to unlock my PIN using the cash point. I asked why my PIN was locked in the first place and was told I'd probably entered my PIN wrong. I assured the staff I was absolutely certain that at no point have I entered my PIN incorrectly but no one seemed able to give me another explanation, nor did they seem at all concerned.
Am I being silly here, or is there some potential fraudulent attempt to use my details? I just don't understand why my PIN was locked and I want to ensure my account is secure.
Any help or advice?

sorry to hear about that first78.
natwest have had some real tech problems over the last days. I'd check with them. if not related, maybe wise to change the pin or both pin and card. best wishes.0 -
Natwest had yet another a system problem. It's shocking that some of their staff don't know about it.

Thanks, can't believe the staff couldn't have just told me about the glitch. I have indeed changed my PIN.0
