New additional barclays account

As part of my 2016 savings resolution I have opened another Barclays current account however I have been sent all new membership numbers for online banking.

I wanted this account linking to my original so I could do all my transactions online.

Any idea how I get the two accounts on the same banking login?

    You need to ring them.
The mind boggles as to why you chose Barclays ?

Well they were two I didn't think of! I always found TSB aged, like not modern banking and I didn't know Tesco offered current accounts!

I have just been looking at Natwest and Halifax!

Barclays is one of the very worst banks for savings. Natwest is as bad. Halifax do have a "free fiver" account.

You can /should use your 2nd Barclays account to switch for money.

    Thanks!

I don't actually have any savings with Barclays, I just have current accounts with them. I have the Halifax help to buy isa and will be looking for a savings account to apply tonight so thanks for the link x

You do not need any savings account in order to save. You shouldn't want to keep any money in any current account that doesn't pay you interest. You also shouldn't possibly want any normal savings account, or a normal cash ISA, with Halifax or with whoever.

Did you look at the link I posted?

The reason I suggested TSB is they pay 5%. I got the impression from the original post that you were starting from nil £ and TSB have a min pay in that may have been a problem. Hence Tesco's they will pay 3% but with no restrictions.

Same thing as me, go into branch is best, their Indian Callcentre is useless.

Tsb is a modern bank now with good online access.
