FOC I don't know what this means.
Actually last week I bought a new car and there were two scratches and an indicator fault. They are being rectified tomorrow and because the service garage is quite a distance from us the garage is paying for our lunch while the work is being done. Of course we expect the product( door or car) to be in perfect condition when purchase new.

If FOC means free of charge we don't expect this, we expect the faults to be rectified , if the suppliers deem it to be too expensive to rectify their mistakes and not claim for payment that is their problem. We do feel it is unreasonable that they have up to 6 years to claim for payment. We have had no communication from them re payment or repairs eventhough we have emailed and sent photos of the faults.

If the company know they have fitted a sub standard product and will likely have to replace both the door and the frame then they may well cut their losses. The profit they make from you paying will not cover the new frame, door and installation costs.

    Keep your fingers crossed!

You are in the lucky position of not having paid anything upfront. If you had the whole process becomes so much harder.

It is odd that a company that on the face of it seems to have installed poor quality products, badly, would not have got the money upfront, so this may just be a one-off situation.

    Regards
