Good evening all you MMMer's, Mrs M the quilt is fantastic you should feel very proud of yourself (pat on the back from all your fellow MMMer's)
Make do - home baking for future SIL's birthday buns for work. HM fish cakes from YS cod and mash, did extra mash and this will be mixed with some savoy cabbage on Friday for tea.
Mending - knitting
Minimise - home hair cut for OH
The weather was very frosty first thing but we are having sunny clear days so they go hand in hand don't they at this time of year. xWhy pay full price when you may get it YS0 -

Another in a long line of spending days for me!
today it was £30 out of the cash machine (£9 owed for 2 collections at work, the remaining £21 for meeting friends on my day off, although I don't expect to use it all). Plus £24 in C@rd factory; I needed Mothers Day and Birthday cards for both MIL and my mum, plus a couple little token gifts each, and a couple of other thank you and birthday cards. I did get a lot for the money, I don't know how another famous card shop stays in business!
Got DDs feet measured in Cl@rkes but no intention of buying shoes there - I prefer her to have navy shoes, I will end up spending about £12 more onlineat Startr!te BUT her last pair from there have lasted a year and a half (they were too big to start with so I got her insoles). So that will be £50 when payday comes but fingers crossed it's an investment, my boys have worn Cl@rks shoes out in under 6 months before; shoes are one thing I have discovered it doesn't pay to skimp on quality.
Dinner tonight was Tapas: Chorizo with onions, red wine, balsamic vinegar and honey; pitta breads and hummus (now 4 days over it's date) cucumber sticks, patatas bravas, frittata. Aside from the chorizo (and the wine was a left over mini bottle from a Xmas present) all fairly cheap and I have enough leftovers to take to work for lunch. The kids smothered all their tapas feast in BBQ sauce though. . . :rotfl:

Morning all
Thank you for the very kind comments about the quilt, I really enjoyed working on it.
Watched in her shoes last night, nice enough film but won't watch it again so it can be passed on or go to the CS
Minimised all the newspapers and mags into recycling
Took some pizza discs those polystyrene round things into work for arts and crafts.
Dh rang and got us a cheaper deal on our utility bill after checking via mse link,
Made do with stuff we had in by making veggie lasagne for tea.
Dd3 collected a big parcel that had been delivered here so space in hall reclaimed.
I'm busy all day so doubt I'll get much mending done.
Have a great day all.SPC~12 ot 124

Morning MMMers and welcome to any new folk
mrs-moneypenny what a beautiful quilt! The t-shirt one sounds a lovely idea.
Not much MMMing going on here other than minimising food. OH made a lovely sausage casserole last night for tea and he'll have the leftovers when I'm at work this evening. Haven't started on the bookcase yet but it's on my to-do list at the weekend.
I'm just away to head to the gym once I've finished my coffee and then I want to go to the library to get some more books out before I go to work. Hope everyone has a good day.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77

beautiful quilt and many hours to make I suspect. I do so admire anyone who can make things as gorgeous as that.I can knit but using a sewing machine is totally double dutch to me and always has been.
Today I shall be knitting for awhile until my lovely brother turns up.He is on his way home for a visit from France where he lives and has promised to bring me some cheese from his local shop with him
Not much making do as we are going out for dinner tonight, not too sure where yet, but I haven't seen him for over two years so we will have a lot to catch up on.
have a great day chums
