Engineered wood supplier recommendation?

We're looking at putting down engineered oak in our hallway. Have done a quick google and the vast array of suppliers is mind boggling. Just wondered if anyone had any tips on good firms to use or more importantly to avoid. Thanks

    hi there,

We used Atkinson and Kirby. They were recommended to us from a friend who works in the building trade. They are not cheap but we were very pleased with the quality of the oak engineered flooring. My in-laws had their house refurbished three years ago and chose the same style of flooring as they really liked what we had.

My neighbour earlier this year purchased engineered wood flooring from the bay at a great price. It looked great but after laying it the wood expanded and he had to cut a section near the front door. He had to do this on three occasions!

You do get what you pay for and a good flooring can make all the difference to how your house looks.

    Hope this helps
