Postponed  until next Wednesday, and now I need to do a presentation too. I think actually that they forgot to tell me I had to do a presentation until today and hence have re scheduled the interview so I've got time to do it.

Theme for the presentation goes, 'Please find attached the job accountabilities. Identify what challenges you will find in the first 3 months and how you will over come these. Map out the structure for your first 3 months that will optimise your success and identify what support you will need' - in other words here's your job description now write your own induction :rotfl:

Anyways I have a week to prepare so all good.

Payday today yay, seriously need a good sort out, far too much money in my account which needs to be in other places!

STILL haven't had an answer on my deposit from the tenant deposit scheme, it's been over 4 months now since I moved out, ridiculous.

Since I'm living with DD full time and DS isn't spending any time at his Dad's. My grocery bill is HUGE!! I had budgeted £230 a month, this months comes in at £271 so far, and I have one more shop to do, so it's going to be £300+
This week we ate over 2kg of chicken alone. OK I know we have to eat, and we like to eat healthy, but seriously....
I need to utilize baked beans at least twice a week I think. Jacket potato and cheesy beans then eggs, chips & beans :T
I emptied my piggy bank today, since I paid off my debt it's been sat there with a 2p stuck out of the top because I couldn't get any more in. I haven't counted everything but I reckon there's about £30 there. £6 of it went in the Sainsbobs self service machine, I think I must have been stood there for 10 minutes feeding it! Now my black pig is empty again, time for a refill.

The mortgage application is progressing nicely, they've asked all sorts of questions, interrogated my bank statements and my tax codes, I think the only thing they don't know about me is my shoe size. Hopefully I'll hear more this week, I think they have to send out a valuer, so I guess it will be a few weeks yet before anything happens.
One thing I really really regret is remortgaging in 2008, I had a 0.5% above base rate tracker offset, they're not available anymore, why oh why did I switch

DS has failed his theory again :( 4th attempt on Thursday, it's the hazard perception, it's a stupid test, he's a good driver, I can't see why clicking a mouse watching a video is any measure of how good a driver you are, plus they don't tell him why he failed so how is he supposed to get better?! At £23 a pop I think it's just a money making excercise.

This morning I had a wander down town. My favorite charity shop sells most things at 99p. I picked up a ladies austin reed suit for 99p :j sadly it won't fit me, but they go for £20-£30 on fleabay...
I also got a set of tarot cards for 50p, could be my new sideline :rotfl:

To DD's complete horror, I had a go at cutting my own hair this week. It was just a trim and my hair is quite long. I was quite impressed with my efforts. I've ordered this tool thing off ebay for £2.79, sort of like a large clip crossed with a spirit level, if I keep my hair long I may never need to to go to a hairdressers again :)

List for remainder of the weekend

    • Meal plan
    • Shop
    • Paint something
    • Ebay listings
    • Paint something, doesn't matter what, just get the paint brush out again
Have a good one lovely people xx

    Hi Skinnylatte,

Just been reading your diary and would like to tag along if that's OK. I've got a diary myself but have only posted a couple of times since October as I've just been so busy trying to keep my job! It's complicated!! LOL

Anyway, I'm back and catching up.

I too had a tax rebate which was unexpected, especially as I'd saved a huge amount towards the bill. Double celebrations! Rebate plus unneeded savings!

Now where are those holiday brochures!!

    Wow 99p charity shop....:D
I have long hair also Skinny, well I keep it long enough to tie up and have never been to the hairdressers now for must be 10 years or more, have become quite good at just trimming it myself . I sometimes use hair donuts ( £1 land) to give a nicer style at times. Not only do I feel I have saved a fortune with hairdressing costs, but I also get an instant face lift if I pull my hair tight enough, ouch :rotfl:....creeping towards the big 50, and so much cheaper than botox

That's a fab idea, I'm not very good at being creative with my hair, I'll get some from £land and give it a go. I'm also creeping towards the big 50 so need all the help I can get!
