I have been accepted on to a postgraduate course starting next September. Does anyone have any tips on living cheaply in London as a student?

I've been living for two years during my studies in London and I found my student housing in a web site called Beroomers.
It's full of cheap options for student accommodation! Greetings :j

Definitely take advantage of the 18+ Student Photo Oyster card, your travel will be 30% off then (from memory).

It might sound obvious but living further out always has its advantages, if you know where most of your classes will be then it will be easier to decide where to live. I lived further away than my classmates but I chose somewhere on a good bus route and near to the tube, so whilst I was further geographically it was still very easy to get in to school Being near the right tube line is more important than being near any old station.
