cider ok instead of Coke for slow cooker gammon???

Smelling good! Will be interesting to see how cooked in cider compares with cooked in Coke. My reputation as best Christmas Ham chef is at stake. Lol

Coke is an American innovation, picked up by Nigella.
I insist on doing gammon in cider once a year as I love it, but everyone else prefers the Coke (of course, it's really sugar + spice)

I did the coke version last year and ended up with a lot going to waste as no-one really liked it! I'll stick with the apple juice from this year..yummy!
