Co-op MPPI refund issue

Hello all,
We took out MPPI with the Co-op bank in 2008. The policy ran for approximately 5 years. However, in 2009 the policy was transferred to the Royal london group because the Co-op insurance group was taken over. The Co-op bank are offering a refund for the MPPI paid to them from 2008 to 2009.
My question is, are we able to claim a refund from Royal London for the payments made on this policy for the 4years when they had it?
thank you

You need to complain to Royal London then.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. What do you think has been done wrong, when and by who?0

Depends whether Royal London agree it was mis-sold and accept liability for that.My question is, are we able to claim a refund from Royal London for the payments made on this policy for the 4years when they had it?
The Co-Op Bank may have agreed to refund you simply as the most expedient way to deal with your complaint and so it's not automatically the case that the other insurance provider will also agree to refund.
Make your case to Royal London and see what they say...0
