Scam or a good competition?

I had an email from I think it is My Offers. They are offering me the chance to apply to become a product tester for Dyson. They are offering the Dyson V6 for testing. As my present vacuum cleaner has given up the ghost I am quite interested in this.
It seems to be a competition to become a reviewer and then you get to keep the vacuum cleaner. It seems one person a day wins this. However, I am a bit suspicious of this - is there some kind of drawback? Is it a scam? Has anyone any experience of this?

I did MyOffers comps when I was a newbie. I never won a thing, though your mileage may vary. The volume of emails was crazy though and beyond even those multiple times a day ones from the women's mags.
I tried to unsubscribe from them all, over the course of 6 months, and they still kept coming. They may have since fixed this as this was years ago, but I'm yet to hear such a thing. I had to create a brand new email address to run away from the marketing emails from MyOffers and would never recommend them.“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0 -
There'll will be a very valid reason why MYOffers are not usually posted on MSE plus that that they appear on the MSE Comps spam list:

11 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember this is the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.
