Experience here may be different to that in the USA.

Perhaps over there it's a safe/profitable way to invest.....

Whatever forum they use they will find it hard to find enough mugs to take part in any investment not protected by regulators.

According to press articles (which are not always accurate), there seem to be many people prepared to invest:

But as you say, it's unregulated - so only very sophisticated investors should get involved.

My guess is that it will follow the path of other unregulated investments - like fine wines, student pods, diamond mines, time shares etc.

Lots of early hype which will entice all the scammers into getting into the sector.

Naive punters will be enticed by promises of huge returns, they will lose lots of money to the scammers. Then the sector will become discredited.

But the very sophisticated investors who understand property development; understand the property rental market; understand venture finance; understand risk etc, might make some money.

The two main platforms are PropertyMoose and TheHouseCrowd. Do your own due diligence, and make your own mind up if they're right for you.

There is a few companies (if you can call them that) that do it, you can start from as little as £50. I looked into 3 companies, looked at the website an read all the sales talk, it left me with to many un-answered questions so I moved on.

Thanks eddddy for the suggestion. After a thorough research on these resources, if they suit me, I will definitely go for it.
