Hi all,
I am 50 and have £30,000 to invest, and can tie it up for 5 years, I can put it in a savings account and earn about 4% intrest/year. But I am looking to get a better return.

There are tens of thousands of options that fit that criteria. We will need more to go on if you want the options narrowed down from that.
tax position and risk profile are good starters. Will the funds be used for fixed purpose. i.e. to spend in full in 5 years or will it be open ended until some is needed every now and then?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
