Adding pics to forum posts using iPad?

Options
Evening all
Despite months of trying I still can't figure out how to add pictures and gifs to my posts. I want to include some images from a goggle search but whenever I tap my iPad screen I get a message'copied to camera roll' but that's about it. I can't find the images anywhere on my iPad
Any advice on how to do it? Thanks:)

    What's 'gifs'?

Don't know about iPad, but for posting an image you need a link to it.
On a PC (Firefox) it's Right click >> Copy image location. I guess in any tablet it has to be something like tap&hold rather than simple tap.

Then you use insertimage.gif button above and paste the link into the field.

Even if you have an image in you tablet, you have to upload it to some images hosting website first to be able to post it at MSE.

Thanks for the reply, but I have done much of what you suggest and nothing seems to work. The click and hold technique results in the 'saved to camera roll' message but no trace of the picture anywhere.

Don't know about iPad, but in my Android tapping&holding an image in a browser window results in a long menu with the image location at the top and "Copy link URL" among other menu items.

In Opera browser the menu is shorter, but there is an option "Open Image" resulting in a webpage with the image URL in the URL field at the top.

Open the Photos app by tapping its icon on the Home screen or by going through the Camera app

    Tap Albums

    Tap Camera Roll

Even if you can find them in your Photos, that won't help you. Pictures here need to have an external URL, and when you insert the image tag, you need to specify the URL.
