You can get a copy of your certificate, if needed:

You can get a certified copy of your marriage certificate for £9.25, then keep it safe! If you scan a copy, you at least have a digital record.

Thanks, turned out I didn't need my marriage certificate anyway. She said that I can only use that if you have been married for 6 months or less and I've been married for for nearly 9 years, otherwise they need a passport.
And my marriage certificate is in a safe place. I just can't remember where that safe place is...0
