Just been made redundant - HELP!

Options
I have today (30/12/2015) been made redundant and need some help:

My employer has told me i dont need to return and as such i am entitled to 4 weeks pay and statutory redundancy. I wont receive both until end of January (Jan pay)

- If i am offered another job part way through January, do i lose any of 4 weeks pay / redundancy money?

Thanks,

James

What does "don't need to return" mean? If you are on garden leave, then yes, you could lose the payment if you take another job. If the contract has terminated and the pay is in lieu of notice, then no it won't affect it if you get other employment.

But "today" seems to be rather short notice - do you accept that this is a fair redundancy?
