Ynab

Having looked at the YNAB forums, there are major pieces of YNAB 4 functionality that will never be in 'new YNAB' so that's a complete no-no for me, e.g. see some of Joel's list here

there also seem to be major limitations in non-US/Canada bank integration as their provider is only focused on that market, which means one of the major 'new features' won't work fully in the UK.0 -
An interesting analysis, but not really relevant for me as a new user as I've never experienced YNAB 4. I'm also highly skeptical of connecting up my bank details (more out of ignorance than anything else) so I'm not using that feature.
I think my original post was just badly timed as I didn't realise a whole new YNAB was about to come out so people's past experiences would be (to a point) irrelevant.0 -
I started or thought I started the trial version of 'new' ynab last night.
Lasted approx 10-15 seconds, when the migration failed from ynab4 (with my up-to date budget) I pressed cancel.
I'll continue to use ynab 4, lets hope the developers don't push a 'kill' button once support stops.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
Killing it doesn't appear to be their intention: "We’ll officially support YNAB 4 until December 31, 2016—fixing mission-critical bugs, making sure the apps work great and answering all your support questions. After 2016, we will no longer push updates to YNAB4, but we will still happily support our YNAB4 users" (http://www.youneedabudget.com/blog/post/the-new-ynab-is-here).
Sadly I can't try YNAB 4 as it's downloaded software and I'm suffering for my poor life decision in installing Windows 10 - now I can't install any softwareHaving said that, I'm quite liking nYNAB now I've worked out how to deal with savings in it. YNAB 4 users seem universally to hate nYNAB, but new users seem to quite like it. Funny that
