Consent to Let - HSBC, Yorkshire Bank, Post Office, Co-operative Bank

Hello, Does anybody have any experience of the above banks with regards to getting a consent to let if one were required? I previously took out a four year fixed mortgage with Santander in 2010. After three years of this fix i was offfered a job in London. I applied to Santander and paid the £275 consent to let fee. They…

I recently got CTL granted for 12 months with HSBC - I called them on the phone and the guy I spoke to gave me the address to write to and said they will grant it in most circumstances (I said we were moving and didn't have time to sell our old house yet). There is no charge and reply came about a week later granted for 12months from then, so don't apply before you need it starts from when it is granted. I'm pretty sure the guy said you had a good chance of getting it extended for a further 12months but 2 yrs was the limit with HSBC however I would be interested to know if anyone else can confirm this?
