Why do sellers expect buyers to pay for *insured* delivery?

The seller is 1000000000% responsible for delivery of their product
If they decide to employ a third party to deliver then the third party is acting on behalf of the seller/employer as *their* agent
That being an irrefutable fact
Why do sellers expect buyers to pay for *insured* delivery?

Some buyers and some sellers need educating. Some fall for all sorts of rubbish. Some don't. Quite simple really.
The PO is the biggest up seller of useless services IMHO.0 -

It should really have all changed to expedited or guaranteed rather than insured..0 -
A very blanket statement if ever I saw one! I would say its a very small minority that 'expect' it. All the professional sellers I know, including myself, have never expected it of any of their customers.0

I'd read the OP's previous posts in this forum before wasting any time responding.0
