:( Oh pants, checked the Beeb weather forecast and it's rain all day tomorrow! And the fallback site for a Monday bootsale, which was Plan B, isn't running this year for the first time in my recollection.

How frustrating, today is a glorious, sunny day, last Sunday was superb and it looks like Easter Sunday is going to be a washout. Grrr!

I shall sulk with a cuppa and then rally - will finish the prep and the pricing anyway, but high probability won't be selling tomoz and will have to do a sale later in the year.

*sign* - these things are sent to try us - I may have to resort to the giant bar of g@l@xy the easter fairy has left in the fridge for me.

no kondo today. Was very glad of that sprinkle of rain overnight, it has been bone dry and sunny here for weeks. Son came from Scotland for one night and got a tan, he went back to dreich.

Just waiting for the sun today as I want to get out on a cycle ride. I feel so good when I am out, after the first mile, when I am warming up. I found a women`s cycling group and thought heyho that it for me. Then I looked at their cycle routes and they are 40+ miles  I put their site in favourites but only so I can copy parts of their rides. I am thinking that it won`t be long before some locals want to join me anyway. I am getting fitter and faster but want to be sure to do some arm exercises at home, lol. my legs were always strong. I am the one on the fold up bike in girly colours with tiny wheels :hello:

Good luck GQ. You may find that it is packed, its a cheap day out for a lot of folks

Have been dealing with life events so Kondoing had to be put to one side. Have enjoyed reading all your successes and it has kept me itching to get going again.

Things will still be busy for the next few months however did manage to do 15 mins of desk clearing on Thursday and re-started on the reading pile yesterday and this morning. So some things dealt with and filed and others read and put in recycling bin.

There are a couple of things which have been missed over the last few weeks and will need to be put right this week but not worried about it - could only deal with the priorities at the time and knew there would be a bit of catching up.

Going shopping for a new mower this morning, oh how I live the high life. We will spend the weekend getting more things organised so that the next few weeks go as smoothly as possible. We also have a rellie's house to clear - you guessed it, it's full of Justins and Andys.

GQ, how about a yard sale from home today? Quick notice up in the local shops and a big sign outside the house?

Cue fanfare:ta ra ta ra OH is tackling his boxes and boxes of paper work............ currently all in piles across the LR and he looked confused when I asked 'are you going to get all that into your 4 drawer filing cabinet?'.......which I know is full and has a pile on top of it .... *sigh* small steps an all that. Unfortunately today the weather looks as if he can partake in his extreme sport so he will be out all day........does mean I can crack on though unhampered :)

:) The parentals won't allow it. Besides, we're on a little cul de sac on the edge of an estate on the edge of town and not the best place to do such things (no garage and garden is pocket-hanky sized).

I'm continuing to prep and will make my decision at 6am tomorrow - I used to carboot A LOT and am a bit weather-witchy; I stand outside at sparrowfart o'clock and calculate the moisture in the air as it touches my face and consult with the clouds. I've seldom been drenched and I did about 30 carboots a year for over 10 years.

My cunning plan, unless the day starts a total washout, is to go and have the huge tarp as a standby to just whip over things if a shower comes over. We're the second-driest part of the UK here and don't get a lot of rain at any time (excepting public holidays, it seems).

I'm in process of consolidating bags and boxes at the end of the sitting room beside the mega window which now opens again, for a fast load-out. I've been gathering saleables over the months and am actually quite excited at the prospect of getting them out in front of the punters. There's good stuff there, good usable stuff, to read, to watch, to knit and sew with, to use as decorative objects and I feel people will be pleased to have at the haul.

Righty, that was my breather, back to the piles!

GQ - fingers crossed for dry day here too.

I have just kondoed my very old, but sturdy zig zag sewing machine to a charity which reconditions machines (if needed) and sends them together with textiles, knitting needles etc overseas. I made contact via their recent post on freegle and they will be getting all my excess knitting needles (3 lots inherited plus lots of my own I no longer use) as soon as I am able to sort them out:D:D

Fingers crossed for tomorrow GQ! Make sure kid brother checks the DVDs out on Some of the online buyers sites first. Round this way DVDs sell for around 50p each at bootsales (was £1 last season) and with every other stall having tons of them we found it easier to sell in bulk online (or at the local trade in shop).

We won't be kondoing anything for a few days. Spent 2 days at the hospital with youngest whilst she had surgery then both DH and I went down with a tummy bug that thankfully has eased up today but left us feeling very delicate. Luckily the surgery all went to plan and the patient is resting up well (and has been on antibiotics) and isn't showing any signs of the bug. Think I need shares in disinfectant this week though.

I returned to 'first principles' this morning and took a look at my sock drawer, then my knicker draw and finally my tea towel basket - the first 3 things I tackled roughly 2 years ago or so. Still looking neat and tidy and organised. Just needed a few adjustments to make perfect - ejection of carp which was lurking in the drawers and had no business to!

So inspired I made the mistake of pulling the bed out to vacuum under.............opened a whole can of worms, not just Easter dust bunnies! Found lots of OHs socks and pens and air bobbles and more carp. There is no space as such under the bed but I had stored some large sheets of craft card/paper - keeping them flat and out of the way, always intending to to take to work as needed.........completely forgotten they were there - now pulled out and will be taken in entirety when I return in 10 days or so :) Also emptied drawers in bed.....more card/paper and some clothes I thought I had kondoed last year......now in a bag for CS. However the can of worms is that the bedroom is in great need of redecoration and as I was vacuuming behind radiator I inadvertently caught an edge of wall paper and woosh it went up the hose :D;) so I have pulled it all off now - only one wall with paper on. Windows on 2 sides so curtains down and in WM from one window. Will do oter window tomorrow - unfortunately looks like the DG panel has 'blown' so needs replacing..........left OH muttering........so I am on a mission now to get as much clutter out so we can consider what we are going to do - not a huge room but awkward with lots of sloping ceilings at different angles and a large under eave storage area which is,yes you have guessed it , brim full :rotfl: I know whats there - lots of sentimental stuff, including photos, which I have been avoiding so far!

So wanted to be in the garden today but want to keep the momentum going...........
