I have been reading too, but no serious K'ing going on. Christmas presents (not too many as we have whittled it down with agreement from other parties over the years), all useful and joyful.
I had 3 pairs of soft cuddly and colourful socks for lounging around/wearing in bed, they are much appreciated as I am a cold bod. Some of my everyday socks will be going to the ragbag today, there is still some wear in them, but the strands of yarn from the lovely colourful patterning are working loose and I almost cut a toe off when putting them on in a hurry:( I bought myself 2 new jumpers, 1 new and the other CS, so need to see if I can find another 2 things to leave the house to even up the numbers a little, Strongly resisting all on-line sales and haven't been to the big town, so no temptations there either.
I need to spend some productive sessions on paperwork and filing still, but do like to have the house to myself for this, so I can place piles on the floor and the table as I sort them. I also want to drastically prune my costume jewelry, both cheap and cheerful and semi-precious, should be a good haul for the CS eventually.
Have a good day and best wishes for a happy new year with lovely organised and londoed homes:A:AThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Frogletina - I think everyone's sorting all the leftover food, I know I was! 2 x ham & Turkey pies and a ham & mushroom quiche made to be Kondoed at a later date lol!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

I've been offline for a few days - just caught up with about three pages! Didn't get too much kipple for Christmas - we do lists so I mostly got stuff I wanted, none of it very big. Had a good time but I was struck down with a cold/cough before Christmas and couldn't get as much done as I'd planned.
I'm in the mood for curling up on the sofa and watching old films but the house is a bit of a mess and as someone said above, I'll be twitchy till I've put things straight. I never, ever thought I'd say those words, I'm someone who's always been content to live in a mess as long as it's relatively hygienic! How I've changed. :rotfl: I'm by no means minimalist but I do like a bit of order, now.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0 -
I have gone early on the Christmas card removal - don't get lots these days but I do stand them up on the piano top over Christmas. I found 2 that were unopened -oops! So I have ripped off the front and will take into work when school starts again and put into Christmas box for next year's crafts:D The backs were all burnt on log burner last night.
Slowly filling a bag for CS -random items as I come across them. Re listed 3 things on Eb*y . Don't suppose they will sell as buyers have sales to keep them happy or are waiting end of month pay day........but you never know someone might be tempted!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Hi Kondo-ites
I've not posted much but I have been reading. I had a very Kondo Christmas with very few items of kipple, and the rest being mainly food gifts or electrical which replaced other items that had recently died. Ragbag and electrical bag quite full and need to go to the recycling point soon!
I had hoped to revisit photos and crafting however I've been ill and had a lot of guest so have not got around to it.
Gentle hugs to all, and looking forward to further kipple removal in 2017,Jan 20 - NST challenge

Washing is on and I am having a brew and a catch up. I hope everyone has managed to have a great festive period so far and if you are thinking of any New Year resolutions... keep them realistic!
We have had a mixed Christmas. The fan oven died and my shower leak looks like it is finally fixed. The latter has been ongoing for years. It turns out that it was plumbed wrong so every six months or so would just start again. Nothing to do with the sealant, although that actually needs cleaning/doing! The girls are lapping it up that they can have soaks with their new bath bombs!
Christmas is always family time and the smiles and laughter will keep us going for a while.
I am off for another week yet and am random KDing but intend to zone in once I've got a few housey jobs done!Don’t put it down - put it away!

I'm away from my home until New Year's Day and have to be careful not to over-reach my welcome in terms of tidying/ kondo-ing at the parental homestead. Despite my glorious status as the Finder of the Window Key, lol.
I'm also having a lot of rest, it's amazing how tired I was when I actually stopped hurtling about.
I'd love to be in the loft pulling things about but this is the 5th bitterly cold day in a row and it's too much to have the hatch down and all the heated air escaping up there. I did go up briefly for about 5 mins to retrieve some random balls of yarn which I am knitting into a blanket. This will eventually cause a big chunk of SABLE to leave the premises.
This afternoon, I shall attempt a tidy of various surfaces in their sitting-room, as things are in teetering piles and are slipping and sliding. This kitchen cupboard re-arrangement went well and it made putting a few things away after this morning's supermarket trip a bit easier.
I could happily spend a month of Sundays kondo-ing in the parental home but it isn't my Stuff so I have to be diplomatic.
Definition of a diplomat? Someone who can tell you to go to hell in such a way that you'd actually enjoy the journey..... :rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
