CC application, living in a Flat

Firstly Merry Xmas to all of the forum members
Here is my issue:
My address is not listed as known address at Royal Mail database, for example, my address is Flat XXX, YYY Road and Royal Mail have it only as YYY Road. All my accounts are currently reporting to CRA's as Flat XXX, YYY Road or XXX, YYY Road.
Do you think this little detail about the Flat could turn me down for my future CC applications?
Currently when I am applying i am entering my address manually, because by post code lookup it only found YYY Road version, without the Flat number in front. If there is a Flat field i enter my flat number there or if there isn't - i add it in this format in the street field - XXX YYY Road, where XXX is flat number and YYY is street number.
What do you think - should I ditch the Flat number from my address and leave it as Royal Mail see it or I can continue using it as it is for now?
Thank you in advance and wish you all the best in 2016

I had a similar issue several years ago. It would be best if you get it sorted now. Is it a new built or a newly converted flat? Does the council know about this address?
(Assuming that your address is already registered with the council) Royal mail maintains a list of post codes and addresses within those postcodes. Other businesses (address lookups you see online) use this database indirectly. Just contact Royal Mail and let them know and they will update their database and it will slowly propagate to all online websites. It will take a couple of months, I would say about 3-4 months but then your address should start appearing in the postcode lookups.
Here is the royal mail contact addressmaintenance@royalmail.com taken from the following page, have a read through first. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem with my London flat - the same Flat no, development name and street name issue.
Doesn't seem to create any issues with callcredit or equifax - but experian seems to struggle big time.
I recently applied to open an M and S bank account - they couldn't trace me so had to go into a branch to provide ID - despite the fact I have had an account with HSBC and First Direct - their sister banks - for years.
I have had this problem for years - and can't seem to get it sorted. It's a flat issue - and it's something which needs sorting as more and more people are living in flats now.0 -
Thank you both for the fast replies. When I am using MSE Eligibility checker and enter my address without the flat I don't exists for them... But If i manually add the flat, everything works, so it seems the flat number is a big deal for credit scoring.
But if i change my address to be without flat number, in the eyes of CRA's will be as moving to a new address i suppose, which is not good at all.
Somewhere I read on the forum that if I enter my address Flat Number [space] Street Number will be enough to find me, but who knows.0
