currys return

Mornin,
I have a Acer f15 laptop I got from Currys a month or so ago.
I'm not happy with it as it is very very slow for a brand new laptop.
I wish to take it back or get a refund, reading the invoice I have up until the 16th Jan to return item for a refund or exchange provided
it is returned un-opened in original packaging.
I don't know how something works or not if I am not supposed to open the packaging?
Can I still exchange or get a refund because I have opened the box?

You have used it for at least a month (based on your vague timing I expect its over a month) therefore it comes down to being faulty as a reason to return, not change of mind.
Its not likely you will get an exchange, and its not going to be a refund.0 -
I think you should be ok to pay more for a better model, my GF purchased a cheap laptop and it was rubbish, she swapped it and paid for a better HP, PC World were fine. Go in, tell them the issue and see if you can exchange it. However, its been a month, I would think you had a better chance if it was say, a week.0

Simply uninstalling a lot of the software (bloatware) that was added by the manufacturer or seller can often make a very large improvement in how a new computer operates especially if it's been loaded up with certain anti-virus programs.
What are the specifications of the laptop that you have?0 -
If you paid under £300 is going to be very slooooww.0

The returns policy is quite clear - you can return it if it's in it's un-opened original packaging, which it isn't.smudger1946 wrote: »Mornin,

The returns policy is in addition to your consumer rights, e.g. such as it's faulty, unfit for purpose or missold. Do you think it comes under any of those?Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0
