building a speaker/music system

Kids/Wife very kindly bought me a record player for christmas so that I can finbally listen to my vinyl again. It is currently set up to run via the AUX on the stereo in the living room via an RCA connection. I also have a set of wireless headphones I can plug durectly into the turntable which itself has a decent pre-amp.
However, the stereo is on it's way out and I want to put the speakers from it (which are pretty decent and came from a much more expensive system) to use by building a home made system that will run the turntable and also receive a bluetooth signal as all of my other music is in lossless digital format held on the PC (the rest of the hard/physical collection of CD's/tapes is now in the loft), with the hope that I can control the play of this digital music via my phone.
I was planning on using the speakers (the connections for the speakers are just standard +ve and -ve wires), plus a power amp similar to those you would see in a car which has RCA input and a bluetooth receiver which would connect to the power amp either by way of a 2nd rca input or via a 3.5 input jack. I have a bluetooth card in the PC which I can use to link to the receiver.
Currently I have no idea what (if any) software/apps etc are available to be able to access the music using my phone as a remote.
Thats the rough plan, now I await it being picked apart by those with much more knowledge of such matters.
Any advice appreciated

[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Look into a Google Chromecast Audio. If you have wifi they are a better option than bluetooth.0

I'm a little confused about what you are asking. But as steviebabes says, if the PC is decoding the audio and then sending it as some sort of waveform over bluetooth, that sounds like the wrong way round. (Note that I don't know anything about bluetooth audio.)
upnp (universal plug and play) is a standard for media distrubution. A client app (such as your phone) can ask a server (such as your pc) to deliver the content to a player. Then you'd have a renderer with the amp which would receive and decode the compressed audio and play it on the speaker. (But you can also stream it to any other device around the house, or play it on the phone itself.)
Not quite sure how the turntable fits into all this. If you are going to digitise the audio and send it somewhere else for decoding, you may as well just record the digital version once, and replay that in the future. No need to read the raw data each time, and wear out the media. (I just can't understand the resurgence of vinyl - perhaps it's just that I had low-quality needles in my youth, but I'm quite glad to be rid of all the clicks, scratches and fuzz from vinyl !)0 -

I really can't imagine you'll net save money trying to DIY. A Denon Piccolo N4 can be had for £184 without speakers.0
