Help to view attachment

Options
Hello,
I need some help to view an attachment. I could open it when I first
got the email because I read it. Now the little paper clip does nothing when I click on it. I am using Yahoo mail.

Can anyone suggest how I might read it?

Thanks.

that is the type of "attachment" , is it a document or a picture or what?

  • It is a PDF file. I can always ask for another but wonder if there was a quick fix. I have a paper clip that is grey and nothing happens when I click on it. Plus I tried to forward it to a Google account and the email came without the attachment.

Right click on the attachment and see if you have the options to save as... It might be that you have inadvertently removed the attachment and saved it somewhere instead of just opening it.

Are you sure you trust the sender and that the document isn't a virus/trojan?
What you are seeing is typical of Yahoo filtering out nasties.

Oh yes I trust the source.

I think I will just ask for another copy. Thanks to all of you that replied.

When I right click I get a box which says
    Select all
    Inspect element
    View Source.

Select all just highlights everything and the other two produce gibberish!

I have occasionally received PDF files that for some reason won't open from the email and have to be saved in order to be opened. However, from your description of the options available it sounds like you have inadvertently done something that means it's no longer really attached so you either need to ask for a replacement or do a search of your hard drive to see if it has been saved somewhere already.
