Old landlord ignoring me, no documents

Firstly, I'm new here so hopefully I'm posting in the right place. I have recently gave up the lease on my rented property but the termination was very unprofessional and I'm now facing some issues. By unprofessional I mean that the landlord met me to check the property, spent 2 minutes looking round for damage and such and then that was it ... LITERALLY! Nothing was signed, no final meter readings or even asking who the provider is, in fact she didn't even ask me where all the keys for the Windows and doors were. I gave her the key to the front door and I haven't heard from her since! She said as I handed the key back that my deposit would be released by Xmas which wasn't done so I've requested it manually (which I've had no reply about) I'm having no replies to phone calls, E-Mails or texts (yet she replied to my partner E-Mailing her as a potential tenant to say that it had already gone) - I can't prove that I've moved out so I'm still liable for council tax, water etc (moved in with partner who has a mortgage so I'm not on the tenancy agreement) ... Is there anything I can do about this?

let's start at the beginning........
When you say that you 'gave up the lease on your flat' what do you mean.
Did you have a short term assured tenancy agreement? Was it for a fixed term? Did you leave at the end of the fixed term or did you leave early with the agreement of your LL?
Have you anything is writing? Was your deposit protected in a scheme?
Some more details please, then we might be able to help you.0 -
Why did you not ask her for a receipt for the key and to sign a confirmation that you had relinquished the tenancy?
Presumably you advised the Council that you were moving and provided your new address?
You took a photo of the meter readings and advised your utility providers that you were moving house?
You have advised your employer, bank(s), HMRC etc of your new address?0 -
OP its not the LL thats moving so indont know what your expecting thm to do? No dual signed inventory makes it workmin your favour. Did u take any photos? Is the utility bills in your name?0

Reminds of the current radio advert reminding tenants to check their smoke alarms where it says...
"Your landlord is not your mum!"0 -

1) deposit not returned. Contact the deposit scheme and make a single claim. See their website for instructions.
2) council tax. Write to the council and inform them you left on X date and request them to close your account and give you a final bill.
3) water (electricity, gas, phone etc). write to them with final meter readings and request them to close your account and give you a final bill.
All sorted.
I assume there is no dispute with the landlord about the notice you gave to end the tenancy? How did you serve notice, what dates, and did the landlord respond? Saying what? How?0
